Derek Wise is a level three welder at Cumberland Perry Area Vocational Technical School. Welding is his true passion. The trade skill was handed down from his dad. In the future, Wise plans on having a full-time job in the welding field somewhere close to Newville, even having the possibility of becoming an underwater welder. Wise said, “I’d be a great underwater welder! They wouldn’t need anything to pull me down, just something to pull me up.”
